Welcome to BertieDev! Home to the worst programming this side of the Murri Waterhole!
I'm Bertie, an Australian just out of highschool getting ready to start a Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering next year. I am building this website to display the projects that I undertake in order to document my programming journey. Have fun browsing :)
This is my newest project, Minute Master! It is designed to streamline the creation and distribution of Minute and agenda documents for business meetings.
I made this 3D game in Unity as a part of my Duke of Edinborough award, it is an endless runner with high speed jumps and thrills
This was the first project that I undertook as part of my Year 12 Digital Technologies course. The task was to respond to a statement and research and address relevant ethical concerns in a powerpoint. I responded to the question "Is there a better alternative to online ToS documents?".
This was the second project that I undertook as part of my Year 12 Digital Technologies course. The task was to create the blueprints for a webapp/programming project and present the ideas, mockups and database schemas in a powerpoint. I created Phoneoff, an inovative app pitched as "Screentime meets BeReal".
This is the third project I undertook as part of my Year 12 Digital Technologies course. The task was to analyse collected data and make insightful observations. I chose to investigate electricity demand in my local area.
This was the fourth project that I undertook as part of my Year 12 Digital Technologies course. The task was to create a computer program to expand our skills in different programming languages. My partner and I created a program that uses ChatGPT's API to create personalised AI generated quizzes to help students study.
The self-proclaimed "Hardest game ever", I made Minute Madness after replaying Undertale for the first time in many years and wanted to take a shot at making my own game in the "Bullet Hell" genre.
This is a game that I made back in 2020, I set myself a challenge to see what I could make in only 1 hour and this was the result!
This is an old game that I made on Scratch in Primary School with the help of my friend Isaac.
This was a game that we made in digital technologies that re-imagined the game paper.io in real life.
Devastatingly, months later a game was released by a professional studio with an almost identical concept.
Will be undertaking a Bachelor of Software Engineering at the Australian National University
